What documentation is required for a wedding in New York State?
Anyone intending to be married within New York State is required to obtain a Marriage License. For information, please visit the Marriage Bureau at the Office of the New York City Clerk.
How do I select my menu for my wedding reception?
The Carlyle’s Catering team offers an extensive menu and is available to assist with selecting the perfect spread. Menu options range from festive cocktail hours with passed hors d’oeuvres and lavish carving stations to intimate plated dinners or gourmet buffets. Couples may schedule menu tastings to help confirm the final menu.
May I use outside vendors?
The Carlyle’s catering team can provide a list of preferred local vendors for your wedding or special event. Outside vendors may be used for music, flowers, photography and similar services. All weddings and events at the hotel are catered by The Carlyle’s expert culinary team. If a Kosher caterer is required, The Carlyle will be able to closely work with a Kosher caterer of your choosing.
Are there special room rates available for wedding guests traveling to New York?
The Carlyle’s Catering Sales Manager will be able to assist with room blocks for weddings and other special occasions. Depending on the size of the room block, preferred rates may be available.
Do you offer a complimentary wedding suite?
The hotel provides a complimentary hotel suite for the bride and groom on the evening of the wedding as part of The Carlyle Wedding Package. The wedding night suite is made available upon meeting the food and beverage minimum of $12,500.
