Immigration: A valid passport will be accepted as proof of citizenship. A visa is required for all non Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Nationals. Kindly note, a female traveling alone to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, unless accompanied by her father, brother or husband, should carry a letter from her Saudi Sponsor stating that they are aware she is traveling alone and they take responsibility for the duration of her stay in the Kingdom.
Dress Code: All female guests should arrange for an Abaya (black shawl) to be available for them on arrival into the country. This can be purchased by one's sponsor or family relation within the Kingdom. It is also advisable to carry a head scarf at all times during the visit, as females may be requested occasionally to cover only their hair. (At no time will western female visitors be requested to cover their face.) Male guests may wear normal western business attire and conservative to casual wear during their leisure time. The wearing of shorts is generally accepted, however it is advisable to wear long trousers whenever possible in public. Polo shirts and short sleeve shirts are also acceptable, but visitors should avoid wearing vest tops in public.
