BIO: Executive Chef Amjad Ghandoor

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts appointed Amjed Yousef Ghandoor as Executive Chef for Rosewood Corniche, Jeddah’s premier hotel, in 2014. A Jordanian national, Chef Ghandoor has more than 15 years of culinary experience and will oversee the entire gastronomic direction for all of the Rosewood Corniche restaurants, including Ginza i Chome, Noodles, Habsburg and Soleil, while managing the hotel’s in-room dining and catering options.

Prior to joining Rosewood Corniche, he held a three year position as Executive Chef at the acclaimed Shaza Al Madinah Hotel in Medina, Saudi Arabia. Since beginning his culinary career in his native Jordan, Chef Ghandoor has displayed his talents in some of the finest luxury resorts and hotels across the world including the Shangri-la Chengdu in China as Sous Chef and other prominent Shangri-la properties across Indonesia, Hong Kong and India. Ghandoor furthered his gastronomic ability with a three-year Chef de Cuisine position at the seven-star Mardan Palace in Antalya, Turkey. His posts throughout China, Malaysia and beyond have given him a wealth of experience across a vast array of cuisine including Asian, Arabic and International fare.

In his role at Rosewood Corniche, Chef Ghandoor will carefully work on the concepts and ingredient choices for the hotels respected restaurants menus, sourcing the best of local and international ingredients
