Set next to the sparkling sea, the open-air restaurant welcomes diners amid cool sea breezes. Stylish without being pretentious, the sun-filled setting is splendid for breakfast, lunch and dinner served daily in light and modern style. In the afternoon and evening, toes-in-the-sand elegance reigns as guests indulge Mediterranean cuisine of freshly caught seafood, hearth-baked specialties, grilled lobsters, select prime and aged steaks, rotisserie chicken and fruit-infused tarts, mousses, custards and cookies. Meals are served on the beautiful white sand beach surrounded by the soft glow of torches in the evening light.
Back inside, the traditional Caribbean plantation style of the Verandah Restaurant is highlighted with newly designed bar and lounge areas facing the sea. An air of casual beach chic pervades, grounded in tile flooring of various designs. The food is equally relaxed, especially at lunch with a light and healthful menu featuring appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pastas and pizzas. An in-house butcher takes things over-the-top with carefully selected meats from an artisanal vendor, aged to perfection in special coolers and hand cut to order. Meanwhile, participants of cooking classes and select dining events can look forward to an artfully presented "market display" of produce and other products, the better to whet appetites for the freshness to come.
