Offering New Treatments Inspired by Ancient Healing Traditions
CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO - Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort is pleased to unveil a series of new treatments at the resort’s award-winning Spa at Las Ventanas. Drawing from Rosewood’s signature A Sense of Place® philosophy, the newly enhanced menu focuses on the ancient medicine and holistic therapies of Mexico, designed to soothe, detoxify, and restore the body’s natural energies.

Guests will emerge from the spa wholly transformed—mind, body, and spirit—with a renewed sense of balance and well-being.”
Inspired by the rich traditions and history of Mexico, the new spa treatments enhance the luxurious spa experience at the Five-Diamond property. The new and improved menu at The Spa & Salon at Las Ventanas includes:
The Path of the Shaman is a 90-minute ancient cleansing ritual performed by a Shaman healer in a private sanctuary within the spa. Guests are welcomed into the sacred space with an herbal-infused beverage. Through various exercises, the Shaman reads the guests’ souls and energies in order to better correct the body’s natural energies over the course of the treatment. The Shaman uses copal (an incense of sage, eucalyptus, star anise, and chaparral) to purify and cleanse the body before massaging it with stone and bamboo to correct blockages and restore alignment within the body. The experience culminates with a sugar cane elixir applied to the body, symbolizing purity, and a warm herbal tea to soothe and protect the body and mind.
The Body and Mind Energy Restoration is a 3.5-hour treatment inspired by ancient philosophies to restore and energize the body. Guests begin by performing a combination of yoga and Thai movements designed to help them better connect with their body’s inner energy. They then unite their senses through Shirodara, an ancient energy restoration therapy, followed by a session of Reiki to balance the chakras. The invigorating experience concludes with lunch from the menu at La Cocina del Spa.
The nature surrounding the resort inspired the Equilibrian Bamboo Massage. This 90-minute soothing massage uses the ancient technique of equilibrium to activate the flow of energy throughout the body. Bamboo trunks replace the use of hands to provide a deeper, firmer massage, kneading the muscles to release tension and ease knots. Guests are transported into a state of absolute calm as their circulation improves and accumulated tension is dispelled. Aromatherapy is also used to enhance the soothing effects of this treatment.
