Las Ventanas' New Spa Pods Reawaken Guests

LOS CABOS, MEXICO - Guests at Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort can now experience the Spa Pod – a multi-sensory, self-contained hydro-thermal spa system that delivers an extraordinary range of deeply penetrating benefits.
The Spa Pods combine steam, water therapy delivered by 22 jets and radiant infrared heat in an encapsulated environment that is uniquely nurturing and rejuvenative, offering such benefits as significantly increasing Basal Metabolic Rate, natural cleansing of the body of unwanted toxins and impurities, relief of muscle and joint aches, pains and fatigue, and weight loss by eliminating excess fluid and alleviating bloating and/or water retention.
"The depth and intensity of the benefits go far beyond what is achieved with typical spa treatments," explained Spa Manager Irena Ugalde, who developed the Spa Pod program at Las Ventanas. "They are ‘reawakening experiences’ for the guest."
With only the head outside the pod, while enjoying more freedom of movement and comfort than a traditional body wrap, guests may take advantage of a full range of techniques from vibratory massage to foot-spray massage and vitamin therapy – while a full-spectrum fiber optic LED light Colorbath™ delivers a rainbow shower of color, enhancing balance and relaxation. Among the many other benefits of the pods are: increasing lymphatic metabolic circulation; stress reduction; re-mineralizing, moisturizing and hydrating; detoxification; and anti-aging treatments. The system can increase Basal Metabolic Rate equal to the energy expenditure of a 6-to-9-mile run that burns 900-to-2,400 calories.
The pods have been adapted as an additional component of popular treatments on the menu, to heighten their effectiveness, and packages have been created that combine the pods with a treatment program. Guests also may simply use the pods on their own, for both the many benefits and to relax and soothe the body before going to sleep.
