The hotel’s bar, designed by the renowned Martin Brudnizki, evokes a convivial atmosphere with a roaring fire at one end and wooden bar running along the other. Warm, cosy and comfortable furniture is organised to create discreet, intimate corners on a wooden herringbone floor strewn with hand-woven rugs.
The bartenders take well-earned pride in their craft, from gently pouring beers and advising on wines by the glass to preparing perfect cocktails in a conversation-provoking array of glassware. A wide selection of single malts contributes to making it one of London’s best bars, as does its rare specialisation in sloe gin, including the hotel’s own label of the supremely British spirit. The bar prides itself on having London’s most intriguing and extensive selection of Whisky and Gin.
As in all classic London clubs, guests relax in cosy armchairs, read, play games and dine as and when they choose. The traditional club menu focuses on a range of delicious Indian curries and European-style casseroles.
