- Stanford Linear Accelerator Center SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is home to a two-mile linear accelerator—the longest in the world. SLAC is a multi-purpose laboratory for astrophysics, photon science, accelerator and particle physics research. Six scientists have been awarded the Nobel Prize for work carried out at SLAC.
- The Tech Museum The Tech Museum of Innovation, or simply The Tech, is a museum located in the heart of Silicon Valley in downtown San Jose. The museum is composed of an Imax theater and four major theme galleries: Communication, Exploration, Innovation and Life Tech.
- Shoreline Amphitheatre A great venue for concerts, Shoreline Amphitheatre was built in 1986 by the city of Mountain View in cooperation with local promoter Bill Graham. Graham designed the amphitheatre to resemble The Grateful Dead’s “steal your face” image.
