Requirements for a Legal Ceremony
- Civil ceremony performed by a Mexican Justice of the Peace (conducted in Spanish; the officiating minister provides translating services)
- Copies of Birth Certificates
- Blood tests, administered in Mexico two business days prior to the weddings in accordance with Mexican law
- Copies of Passports
- Copies of Mexican Visa or Tourist Card received upon arrival to Mexico
- Copies of Divorce Decrees, if applicable
- Four witnesses (for weddings of two, the resort is pleased to provide witnesses)
Note: The above documents are required for a legal wedding to take place in Mexico. The wedding is valid and recognized in all countries included in The Hague Agreement. The Mexican Justice of the Peace requires the aforementioned documents eight business days prior to the ceremony in order to process the paperwork.
