BIO: Managing Director Christian Tavelli

In November 2009, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts appointed Christian Tavelli Managing Director for Rosewood San Miguel de Allende. A graduate of Glion's Swiss Management School, Mr. Tavelli possesses 16 years of hospitality management experience at various luxury hotels in Europe and Mexico. Most recently, he was hotel manager for Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, California, which, in only seven months of operation, quickly rose to a Forbes Four Star property. Prior to his position in California, he was the resort manager of the award-winning five-star, five-diamond Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico. Under his leadership at Las Ventanas, the property was noted for it's exceptional service and creative guest amenities including Sorbet Butlers serving poolside guests.

Before joining the Rosewood family, Mr. Tavelli served as Rooms Division Manager at Torrequebrada Hotel & Casino in Malaga, Spain as well as Food & Beverage Director at the Marbella Club Hotel in Marbella, Spain. He also played an important roll in opening the Hilton hotel in Frankfurt, Germany and held management positions at the Brussels Hilton and Hotel La Residencia in Mallorca, Spain, where he managed the Michelin-star restaurant, El Olivo.
