June 18, 2013
Raymond Ming, one of Bermuda’s beloved ambassadors and Head Doorman at Rosewood Tucker’s Point, has been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Birthday Honour by Bermuda’s Governor General.
The announcement comes on the Queen’s official birthday as she uses the occasion to give awards to various citizens throughout the globe who by their loyalty and commendable conduct have provided services of exceptional benefit. Since Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory, the Governor General presents a local award and Rosewood Tucker’s Point is delighted that Ray Ming is one of the recipients of this year’s esteemed honour.
“We are so proud of Ray and beyond thrilled that he has received this impressive honour,” says Duncan Graham, Managing Director of Rosewood Tucker’s Point. “His wonderful charisma and service skills are an enormous asset to our resort and this award is a true testament that he is a remarkable ambassador for Bermuda,” adds Graham.
Serving four years as the resort’s Head Doorman and over 30 years in the hospitality industry, Ray also takes guests on a one-hour tour of Rosewood Tucker’s Point every Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. During the tour, Ray imparts his charming personality and knowledge on the property and the history of Bermuda while showing guests various hidden spots around the resort that they might not otherwise know existed, including the impressive Coffee Chine and the hidden herb garden.
Rosewood Tucker’s Point invites guests of the resort, both past and present, in addition to locals of Bermuda to wish Raymond congratulations through any of the resort’s social media channels using #CongratsRayMing via facebook.com/rosewoodtuckerspoint or Twitter & Instagram @RWTuckersPoint.
