John M. Scott - President & Chief Executive Officer
Appointed President and CEO in 2003, John Scott brings to Rosewood many years of experience
in the luxury hotel business, including a six-year term serving on Rosewood's Board of Directors.
Mr. Scott previously held the position of Managing Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management
at Maritz, Wolff & Company, a private real estate investment group with a portfolio of luxury
hotels, resorts and management companies. Prior to Maritz, Wolff, Mr. Scott held several senior
hotel operations positions in the Asia Pacific region at the Interpacific Group and he led
strategic planning and business development efforts for retail, dining and entertainment attractions
at the Walt Disney Company. Mr. Scott holds a BA from Dartmouth College and MBA from Harvard Business
School. He was honored as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Southwest region in 2008. |
