Julian Fellowes, The Entertainer
The Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning Julian Fellowes visits Rosewood London for a Rosewood Conversation.
Actor, novelist, director and writer extraordinaire Julian Fellowes has loved the cinema since childhood. “We were brought up to go to films all the time—to discuss them as children,” he said during a recent Rosewood Conversation at Rosewood London. During the talk, hosted by journalist Clemency Burton-Hill, Fellowes reflected on his career highlights, including Gosford Park (for which he won an Academy Award) and, of course, Downton Abbey, the worldwide hit television drama. What was behind the sensation? Downton Abbey “had a decency about it that was quite appealing in a very unstable period,” mused Fellowes. Watch more from “one of the greatest entertainers of our time,” above.
