Rosewood Abu Dhabi’s Chef Bouchta Lamnouar wins Abu Dhabi Young Chef of the Year Award

Rosewood Abu Dhabi’s Chef Bouchta Lamnouar has scooped the award for Abu Dhabi’s most talented chef under 30 years old in Time Out Abu Dhabi’s prestigious Young Chef of the Year competition.

Bouchta, Chef de Partie at Catalan, saw off fierce competition from opponents from some of the Emirate’s most celebrated restaurants following the preparation of a four-course meal. The judges scored each dish out of 100, evaluating presentation, taste, creativity, texture, and use of ingredients, choosing Bouchta’s menu as the standout entry.

Chef Bouchta’s winning dishes were a luscious lamb rack, coupled with beef and portobello mushrooms in onions shells, celeriac puree, stewed bok choi and coconut pearls, and a decedent white chocolate soup served over a mango yolk, a zesty lemon ice cream and a soft, sweet pillow of brioche.
