March 13, 2018
Rosewood Beijing’s stylishly elegant restaurant The House of Dynasties embraces the flavors of Cantonese cuisine and offers an authentically flavorful dim sum lunch.
Culinary connoisseurs will relish this dim sum lunch at Rosewood Beijing, with classic Cantonese bites such as abalone siu mai, fish maw shrimp dumplings, deep fried bean curd sheet roll with shrimp and Hong Kong style fried rice roll. Hearty soups, congee, noodles and rice are also on offer. For dinner, poached abalone, steamed chicken with pork sausage, braised bean curd with seafood in clay pot may be enjoyed as well as an array of expertly prepared seafood.
The House of Dynasties specializes in contemporary adaptations of traditional Chinese recipes handed down through generations. Complementing the diverse menu is a selection of over 30 varieties of Chinese tea served in the Tea Corner, including Wild Chrysanthemum tea from Anhui province and Jasmine tea from Fujian.
Featuring an intimate public dining area and seven private dining rooms, each named after a Chinese dynasty and its significant years in Chinese history, The House of Dynasties is ideal for intimate parties from eight to 18 guests. Four rooms have outdoor balconies presenting fine views of the downtown Beijing cityscape while all showcase sophisticated décor and a live cooking station, where a trio of master chefs creates handcrafted signature dishes with fresh and flavorful ingredients.
Original oriental artworks by up-and-coming Chinese contemporary artist Pan Dongli, inspired by characters from the classic Chinese novel Dream of the Red Chamber, and Western calligraphy by Irish artist Denis Brown enhance the dining atmosphere with a stirring cultural vision.
