New Golf Butler Enhances Resort’s Playing Experience Through Personalized Service

Rosewood CordeValle, the five-star resort located in the foothills of California’s Santa Cruz Mountains, has created the world’s first golf butler amenity at the property’s award-winning 18-hole golf course. The golf butlers will work with the property’s golf, culinary and management teams to provide complimentary, personalized service to guests during their games of play.

While each player’s golf caddy will take care of the logistics and technicalities on the course, the golf butler will focus on the social aspects of the game and guest programming off the green. The butlers will check in with guests at several points throughout their game, and offer to assist with on-course food and beverage delivery from the Lion’s Peak Grill, situated near the resort’s golf shop. The golf butler can also book reservations at Rosewood CordeValle’s Il Vigneto, wine tastings at the on-site Clos La Chance Winery, and arrange post-play treatments at Sense®, A Rosewood Spa. After the game, the golf butlers will shine golfers’ shoes and clean and safely return guests’ golf clubs to their rooms.

“As the sport of golf continues to evolve, we created the role of golf butler as a way to bring our signature hospitality to the green and to cater to the needs of the modern golfer,” says Lloyd Martindale, director of golf at Rosewood CordeValle. “The golf butler provides guests with a stress-free way to personalize their experience on and off the course, whether it be ordering small bites and cocktails to savor on the fairway, or a relaxing spa treatment enjoyed after their game.”
