Ramadan Giveaways with a Difference

Rosewood Jeddah collaborates with The First Autism Center in Jeddah and Al-Faisalya to produce gift boxes for hotel VIPs and partners.

Released 5 May 2021

As part of Rosewood Hotel Group’s ongoing efforts to build and nurture strong relationships within the community, Rosewood Jeddah has been actively involved in programs by The First Autism Center in Jeddah since 2012.

Formerly known as the Jeddah Autism Center, The First Autism Center in Jeddah was set up by Al-Faisalya Women’s Welfare Society in 1993 to provide educational support for individuals with autism to learn how to develop their abilities, interact with their external environment and achieve independence.

Over the years, the hotel has organized various activities with the center, such as art exhibitions, face-painting sessions and marathons, with the aim of increasing public awareness of autism and providing the children with various opportunities to explore the outside world. Through their friendship, the two entities also hope to establish a thriving platform for the children to showcase their talent and skills, earn money for their work and integrate into society.

For the year, Rosewood Jeddah’s annual Ramadan giveaways to hotel VIPs and partners were inspired after a recent trip by the management team to The First Autism Center to collaborate with Al-Faisalya to produce hand embroidery by the children as gifts.

“Al-Faisalya and The First Autism Center in Jeddah have been doing amazing work for the community, and this latest collaboration is a testament to how much we value their friendship,” “Our VIPs and partners loved the meaningful Ramadan giveaways this year and we hope to do similar ones in the future.”

Mazen Allam, Managing Director of Rosewood Jeddah

“We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Rosewood Jeddah and for their trust in the children. It was not an easy task for them, but by joining hands as a team, they were able to finish gift boxes within a week,” said Mrs. Omaimah Mohammad Ali Maghrabi, President of The First Autism Center in Jeddah and Vice President of Al-Faisalya Women’s Welfare Society. “Both the children and their parents are proud of all they have accomplished, and we hope to be able to do more collaborations like this with the hotel in time to come.”

About Rosewood Jeddah

Rosewood Jeddah is a window into the culture of Saudi Arabia. Set along the Corniche, the city’s most celebrated waterfront, the stay sits between shore and sky, opening onto unobstructed views of the Red Sea. The sculptural façade of vertical fins, inspired by intricately carved mashrabiya screens, rises high above the coastline. Inside, the 127 rooms and suites blend modern comfort with elegant Arabic design. Gastronomy at three distinct destinations is equally rooted in the Hejaz region: from hibiscus-infused drinks with panoramic vistas at Soleil to seafood grilled over an open flame at Al Malaki Lounge. Guests are invited to experience modern Jeddah from new perspectives, whether through a historic walking tour, Arabic calligraphy class or serene swim in the rooftop pool.
