Rosewood Le Guanahani Announces Participation In St. Barth Art Week
Renowned artists Jean Martin and Pierre Hennequin partner with the property to unveil acclaimed works during St. Barth Art Week
Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth, the legendary island escape on Saint Barthélemy, is pleased to announce participation in the fourth annual St. Barth Art Week, taking place from November 22nd to 29th, 2022. Hosted by the Artists of St. Barth Association, in cooperation with St. Barth Collectivité and Tourism Board, the event showcases works from 9 different artists across participating hotels and resorts. Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth is excited to welcome renowned sculptor Jean Martin and prolific musical photographer Pierre Hennequin to display works around the property during the exhibition.
St. Barth Art Week highlights the stunning natural beauty that St. Barth is known for and further illustrates the island’s ascent into a respected cultural and artistic destination. Since 2019, the festival has become a draw for visitors and locals alike, and represents a unique opportunity for buyers to acquire one-of-a-kind pieces from across the globe.
“We are happy to participate in this year’s St. Barth Art Week and to have the opportunity to showcase the imaginative works of Jean Martin and Pierre Hennequin,” says Martein van Wagenberg, Managing Director of Rosewood Le Guanahani.
“We consistently strive to offer our guests an immersive experience, and this collaboration is a great way to show our visitors another side to St. Barth they may not have known.”
Jean Martin, a professional metal welder based in St. Barth, presents a stunning installation of 10 life-size stainless steel statues at Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth, emulating true to scale representations of the human body in various states of activity. The overarching transparent design allows for the pieces to reflect sunlight and cast shadows, offering an interactive viewer experience.
Professional music industry Photographer Pierre Hennequin, who has photographed the likes of Sir Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Céline Dion and more, displays a variety of his prints throughout Rosewood Le Guanahani during the festival.
