Rosewood San Miguel de Allende Welcomes New Culinary Destination

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (June 2024) – Rosewood San Miguel de Allende is thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of Pirules Garden Kitchen, an innovative new dining destination nestled within the lush gardens of Rosewood’s pristine grounds. Surrounded by natural greenery and perfectly situated to enjoy stunning views of the San Miguel de Allende skyline and its beloved Parroquia, the restaurant offers an unmatched dining experience within the city for both hotel guests and locals alike.

Rosewood San Miguel de Allende has welcomed renowned chef Odín Rocha to lead culinary direction for the restaurant. The concept focuses on rustic cuisine that draws inspiration from the diverse culinary heritage of Mexico, with a special emphasis on integrating the highest quality and locally sourced ingredients. The menu features authentic and elevated dishes from across Mexico, carefully developed to highlight the diversity of the country’s vast landscape and bounty.

The design of Pirules Garden Kitchen was led by the acclaimed Cuaik Arquitectos Studio. Developed to provide a green oasis within the bustle of the city, the restaurant is anchored by a majestic Pirules tree and features various herb & vegetable planters which are regularly harvested and incorporated into the menu. The restaurant, which includes both indoor and al fresco seating, also boasts an open kitchen and expansive bar – all with incredible views overlooking the pink spires of the city’s famed Parroquia.

The beautifully appointed space is outfitted with a mix of natural materials such as flagstone, ceramic, recycled wood, and handcrafted ironwork – that combined tell a story of masterful Mexican craftmanship. The design further pays homage to the region’s rich indigenous culture and craft with exclusive items such as a custom mirror made by Huichol artisans and traditional ceramics and wood pieces from Mexican artist Daniel Orozco.

One of the most distinctive components of Pirules Garden Kitchen is its charming market space. An integral part of Rosewood’s commitment to support and shine light on the local community, this market is open to the public and offers a curated selection of freshly cut flowers, herbs from the onsite gardens, fruits & vegetables, honey, jams, and other artisanal items sourced from local producers and purveyors.

Pirules Garden Kitchen is slated to open in September 2024.
