Co-create a Children’s Bamboo Park with Hong Kong’s signature bamboo scaffolding that’s seen across the city wherever there is construction. In a family Bamboo Scaffolding Workshop, you’ll create bamboo products and help produce facilities for display and use in a public Children’s Bamboo Park designed for kids from low-income families to come and play.
Learn about the culture of Dunhuang, a major stop on the old Silk Road, and ancient Chinese music instruments, courtesy of professional musicians from HKGDE (Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang) Ensemble. Kids will learn about the roles of old Chinese musical instruments and gain appreciation for this time-honoured musical art.
This hands-on, family-friendly Kids Culinary Workshop will show little ones how to incorporate sustainability and healthy diet in fun home cooking. Chef Peggy Chan will guide children to explore how food is grown, teach the difference between whole foods and processed foods and reveal how cooking has changed over time. Kids will also learn to cook two vegetarian dishes using sustainable ingredients and local produce.
