- Best Hotel Interactive Communication in the World
Marc Raffray, General Manager of the Hôtel de Crillon, said that he is “very honored by the many awards attributed by professionals in the sector. It is recognition of the everyday work of our 380 employees who embody the Parisian spirit of our establishment and contribute to spreading the French art de vivre. The Prix Villégiature Award is a guarantee of quality for our customers, whether French or international, and is also a reference in the hotel industry.
The Hôtel de Crillon, the jewel of the hotel industry, now embodies the heart and soul of the City of Light. Today, it welcomes travelers from all over the world in an exceptional setting and is able to satisfy the most demanding desires and requests”.
Located in the heart of Paris at 10 Place de la Concorde, the Hôtel de Crillon is one of the most historic and emblematic buildings of the French capital. 147 artists and 250 French craftsmen collaborated to revive the splendors of this palace, in harmony with the codes of the 21st century. It has been done in keeping with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts's philosophy in which each property reflects the history, culture and sensibilities of each country and place.
The architect, Richard Martinet, from Affine Design Agency is specialized in restoring iconic buildings throughout the world. He has elevated the 18th century building to divine heights, including the sumptuous heritage reception rooms on the second floor, listed as historic monuments.
The art direction was managed by Aline Asmar d’Amman, responsible for ensuring the consistency of the decoration project between the four interior designers that worked together, Tristan Auer, Chahan Minassian, Cyril Vergniol and Culture in Architecture. The guiding principle was respect for the history of the place, while injecting modernity and Parisian irreverence. The custom-built furniture and décor give the hotel a residential style that reflects the image of a warm and friendly home.
Aline Asmar d’Amman also called upon Karl Lagerfeld, renowned designer passionate about the 18th century, to decorate two exceptional Signature Suites overlooking the Place de la Concorde and one of the hotel’s rooms. He named them Les Grands Appartements, and through them conveys his vision of modernity and French chic.
Landscape architect Louis Benech, with his subtle hand, designed the two courtyards of the residence.
The establishment now counts 124 accommodations in all, made up of 78 rooms, 36 suites and 10 Signature Suites with their own private terraces offering an incomparable view of the City of Light.
The Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant L'Écrin, the quintessential Parisian Brasserie d'Aumont and the amethyst-colored Jardin d'Hiver will charm foodies.
The Les Ambassadeurs bar is, in itself, an attraction for both tourists and Parisians. It offers the best in mixology in one of the most extraordinary settings, and has been listed as a historical monument. With seating for 51 guests, the Les Ambassadeurs bar is the new place to see and be seen in Paris. A festive atmosphere, live concerts, DJ sets during Concorde evenings, and explosive cocktails all contribute to luring and capturing night owls, the happy few who experience moments untouched by time.
Among the hotel's other attractions, the Palace now has areas dedicated to the wellbeing of both hotel guests and outside clientele with the four treatment rooms at Sense, A Rosewood Spa, a new indoor swimming pool, and a fully-equipped fitness studio.
The Hôtel de Crillon has also forged numerous partnerships with the best professionals, including David Lucas, a true celebrity of hairstyling, and La Barbière de Paris, to offer men the ultimate in grooming. DEVOIRDECOURT, specialized in sublime leather care services, is at the helm of the shoe care salon.
