Discover our latest art installation with David Aiu Servan-Schreiber. David is a French artist living in London with a deep-rooted passion for the planet. The works from David's Planets series are conceptualising the cause and effect of humanities actions. Schreiber eloquently depicts the Earth from afar, subtly drawing our attention to the larger and more grandiose scale of our interference, aiming to ignite our consciousness to the callous and unfortunate fact that we are slowly destroying the only home that we have, our planet.
The Microcosm series acts almost as a counterpoint to his Planets series. In this series, this planet, our planet, is now deserted and scorched, a place where life seems to have disappeared. This is represented in the artwork with one or several layers of burnt soil, with the occasional golden leaf or brighter colour appearing from beneath to symbolise the remaining hope of another life.
