November 14, 2016
This Christmas, Rosewood London is celebrating the festive season in true epicurean style, with traditional and indulgent menus across all three restaurants and bars.
Holborn Dining Room will be open on Christmas Day, offering a convivial and lively setting for the year’s most celebratory of meals. Executive Head Chef Calum Franklin will be serving up a traditional three-course menu with seasonal favourites such as Roast Norfolk Bronze Turkey with all the trimmings, alongside Roast rib eye, Fillet of cod forestière and other lighter options. Guests can enjoy a glass of Ruinart Champagne to start the meal in style, accompanied by a live jazz trio, who will play throughout lunch, whilst younger guests will be delighted by a visit from Father Christmas. In the advent to the 25th, the restaurant will offer a variety of festive group menus for ten people or more, ideal for Christmas parties, alongside a winter à la carte. Mirror Room will offer a more intimate and relaxed setting for Christmas Day, with guests invited to choose from the extensive buffet, ranging from a beautiful display of fresh seafood and shellfish to homemade charcuterie and delicious winter salads. Executive Chef Amandine Chaignot and her team of chefs will be carving a selection of meats with the traditional turkey sitting alongside honey-glazed ham and a rich beef Wellington. Artisanal British cheeses and a variety of festive puddings and desserts complete the display before guests can while away the afternoon in one of London’s most exquisite dining rooms, with an intricate mirrored ceiling, plush Chesterfield sofas and soft lighting. Throughout the season, Mirror Room will serve a festive afternoon tea, with seasonal sandwiches and exquisite patisserie, inspired by London’s art scene.
New Year’s Eve at Rosewood London promises to be a wonderfully festive evening with delicious food, dancing, music and fireworks to enter into 2017. At Holborn Dining Room, guests can choose from the classic British à la carte menu, before the restaurant will transform into a glittering party, with a live band, DJ and culminating in a spectacular fireworks display, viewable from the hotel’s enclosed courtyard. Mirror Room will offer two dinner sittings, with entertainment from a live pianist and thereafter a jazz quartet, accompanied by dishes such as John Dory, langoustine and baby leeks, Fillet of Venison with glazed salsify and Duck foie gras macchiato. In the cosy Scarfes Bar, guests can enjoy craft cocktails, including the Christmas Sour cocktail and Apple Pie cocktail, alongside the open fire while a host of live jazz acts to take them through to midnight and beyond. As the clock strikes, they can wrap up and step outside to watch the private fireworks display, celebrating alongside other party guests in the courtyard. With a bustling British brasserie, an intimate lounge and a cosy, fire-lit bar, Rosewood London is the perfect winter destination to celebrate the season this Christmas and New Year.
