Press Release
Rosewood Vienna marks a new chapter in its evolution with the introduction of three distinctive suites, a reimagined dining experience spanning two floors, and the debut of the ARTrium — a cultural space for contemporary art in the heart of the city.
August 01, 2025
Under the poetic theme "Experience the Grand Unveiling", Rosewood Vienna emerges with renewed radiance and fresh perspectives. Blending architectural artistry, cultural richness, and refined comfort, a new chapter begins—one that unites the finest elements of the past, present, and future.
An Elevated Stay Experience
Two and a half years after opening, Rosewood Vienna continues to enhance the guest experience while preserving the property’s distinctive character. Central to the evolution are three exceptional suites.
The newly introduced Royal Graben House is one of the largest at the hotel, offering 175 sq.m. of refined living space. Occupying a prominent corner of the historic building, the suite overlooks the famous Graben and its stately façades. During Vienna’s festive season, this vantage point takes in the street’s famous suspended chandeliers, transforming the Graben into what is often called “the world’s largest ballroom.” At its centre lies a remarkable 100 sq.m. salon — once the original boardroom of the 1850s bank and now a listed room in Vienna — where a central architectural block defines interconnected living, dining, sitting, and working areas. Original 19th-century stucco ceilings, parquet floors, and curated furnishings reflect Viennese heritage, complemented by a contemporary artwork from Austrian painter Denise Rudolf Frank. The suite also features a large bedroom and a small kitchen for private entertainment. Guests booking one of the six unique Houses enjoy exclusive benefits including round trip transfers and a personalised in-suite bar.
The St. Peter’s Suite is a loft-like one-bedroom accommodation distinguished by its uniquely canted, floor-to-ceiling windows framing direct views of Peterskirche — one of Vienna’s most celebrated Baroque landmarks — from both bedroom and living room. Spanning 61 sq.m., it blends bespoke furniture, local artworks, and residential comfort.
The St. Peter’s Wellness Suite, at 67 sq.m., offers the same panoramic outlook with an open-plan living and sleeping space. Its private sauna and steam bath, unique in the city, provide a retreat for relaxation, complemented by custom furnishings and Viennese-inspired décor.
Culinary Character Across Two Levels
Since opening, Rosewood Vienna’s dining venues have been known as Neue Hoheit Brasserie on the sixth floor and Neue Hoheit Bar on the rooftop. Following a thoughtful reimagining, the sixth floor now houses Neue Hoheit Restaurant and Bar, while the rooftop is home to the new THE1835, named in honour of the year these landmark buildings were completed. Each retains the spirit of its original concept, enhanced with renewed design and flavour profiles.
The sixth-floor Neue Hoheit Restaurant serves Austrian-inspired cuisine in a setting reminiscent of a grand Viennese apartment, while the adjoining Neue Hoheit Bar focuses on oysters, champagne, cocktails, and daytime conviviality. THE1835 above offers an intimate, speakeasy atmosphere with panoramic views, presenting signature drinks with inventive twists.
The ARTrium: Vienna’s New Cultural Platform
The newly launched ARTrium positions Rosewood Vienna as a cultural destination within the city. Presented in collaboration with the Nitsch Foundation, its inaugural programme features immersive works by Hermann Nitsch, a central figure in Austrian contemporary art, alongside vibrant abstract oil-and-acrylic paintings by Denise Rudolf Frank, a Vienna-born artist with international exhibition credentials.
Conceived as a dialogue between generations, the ARTrium will host evolving exhibitions, creating a cultural focal point for both guests and the local community.
“As I walk through the new spaces, —whether it’s the Royal Graben House with its historic breath, the ARTrium as a place of connection, or the new sixth-floor bar as an extension of beauty—I feel how alive this house truly is. This expansion is a statement: of beauty, depth, and the art of captivating people. We aim not only to be hosts, but to create memories that endure,”
– Roland Hamberger, Managing Director, Rosewood Vienna.
