Celebrating Easter at Hôtel de Crillon
For this year’s Easter celebration, Hôtel de Crillon honors the Parisian art of living with an exclusive chocolate creation imagined by Pastry Chef, Matthieu Carlin, paired with a series of gourmet experiences designed to delight both children and adults.
An Exceptional Creation
Chef Matthieu Carlin unveils a unique chocolate piece inspired by the iconic lampposts of Place de la Concorde. Imagined as a statement piece, this creation draws on the square’s rich architectural past while responding to the palace’s singular surroundings.
Inspired by the iconic Parisian lamppost, the chocolate sculpture incorporates a crown that delicately echoes both the property’s seal and the Parisian emblem.
The Easter Egg is composed of two types of chocolate: one side in 42% grand cru milk chocolate and the other in 66% dark chocolate. The top and base reveal a delicately crispy almond-hazelnut praline, enriched with crumbled gavotte for a texture that is both smooth and crunchy.
“For Easter, we imagined a chocolate egg inspired by the lampposts of Place de la Concorde, an emblematic element of Parisian heritage designed in the 19th century by architect Jacques-Ignace Hittorff. We wanted to create a decorative piece connected to the history of the square and its fountains."
