To determine the ratings, Forbes Travel Guide’s highly trained inspectors visit and evaluate each experience against up to 900 standards, encompassing topics including gracious service, sense of luxury, guest comfort, sustainability, and more. This year, the process covered more than 95 countries. The standards are refined annually, ensuring that the Five-Star winners reflect the very best of modern, ultra-luxury hospitality.
