With global experience spanning eight countries, Jonas Vittur brings his expertise to Sora at Rosewood Phnom Penh.
Growing up in the heart of the Italian Alps, surrounded by traditions of gathering, storytelling, and celebrating over food and drink, Jonas first discovered his passion for bartending in high school. He was inspired by how hospitality can transform everyday moments into unforgettable experiences. For Jonas, bartending is the perfect blend of creativity, storytelling, and hospitality — elements that continue to captivate him in this industry.
He has been working globally, with major milestones in Australia, London, Hamburg, Japan, and India. Jonas has developed various skills. In Australia, he honed high-energy service; in London, he embraced intense creativity; in Hamburg, he learned the essence of hosting; in Japan, he perfected precision; and in India, he led with purpose and vision.
Jonas’s cocktail philosophy centers on flavor and storytelling. He views each cocktail as a narrative, rooted in emotion and designed to connect with guests personally. Jonas is dedicated to seasonality and sustainability, using local ingredients enhanced by global influences. Signature drinks like the Nikon Gimlet which combines matcha and lime leaf, and Que La, a concept cocktail celebrating sustainability and collaboration with local producers, showcase his thoughtful and innovative approach.
At Sora, Jonas aims to create more than just a bar. He envisions an immersive, multisensory experience that engages all the senses, from curated music and elegant service to thoughtful design and cocktails that surprise and delight.
