Hôtel de Crillon Celebrates the Holidays in Paris with a Jules Verne-Inspired Season

This holiday season, Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, invites guests to embark on an extraordinary journey through the magic of the festive season. Inspired by the spirit of adventure and the magic of light, the hotel’s holiday decorations set the scene for a season of discovery, with experiences unfolding throughout its historic salons, courtyard, and terraces; from champagne and violin performances beneath the balconies to a winter chalet on Place de la Concorde and a midnight countdown at a masquerade ball.

Released 19 October 2026

Beginning November 25, with select offerings continuing through January 15, 2027, the hotel’s “Extraordinary Journey” festive season draws inspiration from Jules Verne, the French author of Around the World in Eighty Days. His spirit of adventure comes to life through globally inspired pastries, children’s literary discoveries, musical moments, and celebrations that invite guests to experience the hotel—and the holiday season—from a new perspective.

Winter Chalet and Espresso Martini Pop-Up Bar on Place de la Concorde

For travelers exploring Paris during the holidays, the Winter Chalet offers a sweet stop on Place de la Concorde. Open November 25-January 10, it serves three French toast creations inspired by flavors from around the world: pistachio and orange blossom, praline hazelnut spread, and maple syrup with pecans.

On Terrace Concorde, an Espresso Martini Pop-Up Bar brings cocktails to a winter setting styled by cashmere brand Kujten. Running November 25-January 15, the terrace offers a festive stop for an afternoon or evening drink.

Pastry Chef Mattieu Carlin’s Iconic Pastries, Reimagined for the Holidays

Inside Jardin d’Hiver, Pastry Chef Matthieu Carlin’s festive afternoon tea pairs globally inspired sweet and savory creations with a Chemex service featuring three coffees from different regions and three signature lattes from 1895 Coffee Designers by Lavazza. Available November 26-January 3, the experience is €120 per person, including one hot beverage and a choice of sparkling tea or a glass of champagne.

At Butterfly Pâtisserie, Matthieu Carlin brings the Jules Verne inspiration to two French holiday traditions. His Bûche de Noël, or Christmas Yule Log, takes its submarine-inspired silhouette from Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. The creation layers Bolivian dark chocolate mousse, chocolate sponge, cardamom-spiced hazelnut crémeux, and crisp praline. Priced at €120, it serves eight to ten, with preorders opening November 9.

For January’s Epiphany celebrations, Carlin’s Galette des Rois, the traditional French king’s cake, features a compass-inspired tuile atop buttery puff pastry filled with Provençal almonds, accompanied by buckwheat praline. Available January 1-31, 2027, it serves eight and is priced at €75, with preorders beginning December 16. Both creations can be ordered through Butterfly Pâtisserie’s e-shop for collection; galette orders require 24 hours’ notice.

Festive Friday Musical Moments

On December 4, 11, 18, and 25, guests can gather in the Cour d’Honneur for champagne and a 30-minute violin performance, with musicians playing from the balconies overlooking the courtyard. Held 6-6:30 p.m., the Friday evening performances offer a festive interlude before dinner—including on Christmas Day.

A Parisian Adventure for Young Travelers

From November 25-January 10, Le Petit Crillon, the hotel’s seasonal children’s offering, brings a library of adventures to Le Boudoir. Families will find books in English and French, while a children’s post office invites young guests to decorate festive postcards with stamps and crayons and send a little of their Paris holiday home. A storyteller will also host storytime sessions at Le Boudoir every Wednesday throughout December.

Thanksgiving and Christmas in Paris

For Americans spending Thanksgiving in Paris, La Cave will host an intimate dinner for 12 guests on November 26. Priced at €375 per person, the gathering brings a familiar holiday tradition to a Parisian setting.

On Christmas Eve, a cocktail in Salon Marie-Antoinette precedes a gastronomic dinner in Salon des Aigles, priced at €650 per person. Nonos par Paul Pairet will also offer a dedicated Christmas Eve dinner, at €295 per person.

On Christmas Day, Executive Chef Alan Taudon and Pastry Chef Matthieu Carlin present brunch in the historic salons, with seatings at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Brunch is €245 per adult and €125 per child.

Travelers visiting earlier in December can experience two culinary collaborations in the historic salons. On December 3, Chef Matteo Temperini of Castiglion del Bosco, A Rosewood Hotel, joins Alan Taudon for a seven-course dinner featuring white truffle and the flavors of Tuscany and France (€475 per person). On December 10, CHAAT at Rosewood Hong Kong brings Indian cuisine to Paris for a seven-course collaborative dinner (€350 per person). Optional wine pairings are available for both evenings.

A Masquerade Ball to Welcome 2027

On December 31, the hotel’s historic salons host a New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball. The evening begins at 8 p.m. with a cocktail reception and live music, followed by a DJ, dancing, and a midnight countdown, with celebrations continuing until 2 a.m. Admission is €610 per person for the reception and party, or €290 per person for party-only access from 11 p.m.

At Bar Les Ambassadeurs, a DJ, singer, and saxophonist provide the soundtrack to a separate celebration from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Admission is €350 per person, including a bottle of champagne for two and a selection of sweet and savory canapés.

For a celebratory dinner to close the year, Nonos par Paul Pairet offers a dedicated New Year’s Eve menu at €365 per person, with an optional wine pairing.
