Riviera Maya, Mexico – Located on its own private island in the heart of Rosewood Mayakoba, Sense, A Rosewood Spa, has debuted Marry Oneself Journey, a unique three/four night personal retreat focusing on self-love. Inspired by ancient Mayan traditions, guests re-engage with their inner selves amongst the lush, pristine backdrop of the Riviera Maya. The personalized luxury experience includes a series of guided rituals led by Rosewood Mayakoba’s resident Shaman and spa experiences, culminating with a ceremony of self-commitment.

The three to four day Marry Oneself experience begins with a private consultation with the Shaman who will determine the needs and goals of the guest’s visit. A customized itinerary will be created based on this session, and each guest will be provided a roadmap of the journey ahead. Each day the guest will be taught a spiritual lesson incorporating the four elements of the universe - earth, air, fire and water - with daily guided activities focusing on self-love, health, and enlightenment based around ancient pre-Hispanic rituals. Guests will also have time at leisure to enjoy the beautiful facilities at the resort and self-reflect on the teachings of the day.

The Marry Oneself Journey will include The Power of Listening, incorporating voice, drumming, and singing bowls (Air); Walk of Silence, a Shaman-led beach walk (Earth); Flow & Evolve, an aquatic therapy session (Water); and Temazcal of New Fire, a purifying steam bath based on traditional Mayan healing methods to purify, cure, revitalize and balance (Fire). Additionally, guests will be treated to an array of skincare and body treatments, including the Lights of the Season, a holistic ritual to purify, calm and stimulate the body by Maison Caulières, a line of exquisite body care products with natural and extra-virgin oils extracted in the heart of the Gardens of France; Grounded Roots, a hand and feet treatment helping to eliminate muscle tension and restore balance; 360 Degrees, an individualized facial experience by EviDenS de Beauté, an anti-aging skincare line fusing Japanese beauty technology and French elegance; and a customized Apothecary Massage.

The Marry Oneself Journey culminates with a wedding ceremony, the pinnacle of the individual experience, where the guest will re-commit to themselves. The celebration, led by the Shaman, will celebrate one’s personal vows and promise of a lifetime of happiness, self-compassion, and self-love.
