July 2024 – Rosewood Bangkok celebrates the vibrant creativity and modern design spirit of the dynamic city with a new art exhibition featuring renowned artist Pomme Chan, from now to September 30, 2024.

The latest in the ultra-luxury hotel’s quarterly rotating exhibitions showcasing local and international artists, "Happiness is Now" by Pomme Chan invites attendees to explore the essence of happiness through a series of deeply personal artworks. Featuring a collection of works created using oil pastels—chosen for their simplicity and expressive ability—this introspective show offers a unique perspective on the everyday moments and profound insights that define our sense of joy.

"Happiness is Now" stems from a period of reflection and research into what it means to be truly happy. Through her interactions and self-exploration, Pomme Chan discovered that happiness is a personal journey that can be as simple as enjoying a sunset or as intimate as a hug from a loved one. This exhibition brings these discoveries to life, inviting viewers to contemplate what brings them joy and to recognize the beauty in the mundane and the monumental.

A Bangkok native, Pomme Chan began her career in graphic design before moving to the UK to further her education at the London College of Communication. After a transformative 12 years abroad, Chan returned to Bangkok and founded Happy People Studio, a creative space that blends art with functional design. Her ventures, including Swoon Space Home Decor and Happy People House, reflect her belief in the power of illustration to enrich daily life and challenge its conventional underappreciation. Pomme Chan’s work is not just visually stunning but also a narrative of her evolution, embodying her experiences, emotions, and philosophical insights.

The latest art exhibition is a reinterpretation of Rosewood’s guiding A Sense of Place® philosophy, wherein the distinctive ethos of the destination is woven into the identity of each property. Experience this philosophy expressed through Pomme Chan’s 'Happiness is Now' at The Art Gallery on the 3rd floor of Rosewood Bangkok, where it will remain open to the public for three months, until September 30, 2024.
