Bangkok, Thailand — Rosewood Bangkok is delighted to announce its latest art exhibition Belief Interweave which features the innovative textile artist Wuthigrai Siriphon. The exhibition, in partnership with ATTA Gallery, will be on display at The Gallery from January 9 to April 9, 2025. Complimentary guided tours* will be available every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with an expert from ATTA Gallery.

Captivated by the iridescent beauty of jewel beetle wings, which have adorned clothing and jewelry for centuries across cultures, Wuthigrai Siriphon saw untapped potential in these materials. Observing that jewel beetle wings had never been used in weaving, he embarked on a journey of research and experimentation, transforming them into an entirely new medium for textile art.

Drawing inspiration from temple architecture and murals across Thailand, Wuthigrai infused his creations with the colors, shapes, and atmosphere of sacred spaces – Thai temple architecture, in particular - exploring the profound concept of "faith." His handwoven pieces incorporate traditional techniques, including those inspired by tung (ceremonial flags) and manuscript wrappings, creating works that blend ancient traditions with innovative artistry.

“Through Belief Interweave, I aim to express the intricate relationship between faith, culture, and art,” comments Wuthigrai Siriphon. “The jewel beetle wings symbolize beauty and resilience, weaving together the past and present in every thread.”

Founded in 2010 as the first gallery to specialize in Contemporary Art Jewelry in Thailand, ATTA Gallery emphasizes the importance of its name and meaning by promoting self-expression and individuality of the makers and buyers alike. After celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2020, ATTA Gallery moved from its first 50 sqm space at OP Garden to a much larger space at Warehouse 30 in Bangkok's Creative District.
