Rosewood Beijing & Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco launch The Art of Winemaking Experience as part of 12 Days of Rosewood Holiday Gift Guide

One-of-a-kind offering provides discerning travelers with privileged access and perspective this holiday season

Released 16 November 2018

“We first launched 12 Days of Rosewood Beijing gift guide last year and received great responses from Rosewood travelers. Following the success of last year’s guide, we are thrilled to offer an authentic journey that provides insight of different cultures while showcasing A Sense of Place®,”

Marc Handl, regional vice president and managing director of Rosewood Beijing

Since Massimo Ferragamo launched Castiglion del Bosco’s limited edition Zodiac Brunello di Montalcino in 2013, each sublime vintage has become one of the most sought after among collectors, with several scoring 98-99 points from influential critic James Suckling. Made from the best available Sangiovese grapes, the wine comes in a specially numbered bottle, featuring a specially commissioned Chinese zodiac sign created by a famous Chinese artist.

From 22 September 2019 to 3 October 2019, this remarkable experience begins in Tuscany and includes not only a three night stay with delicate dinner and a couple’s spa treatment at the exquisite Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, but an exclusive opportunity to harvest grapes with Castiglion del Bosco winemaker, Cecilia Leoneschi, enjoy a vertical tasting of four selected labels of rare Zodiac vintages, and a helicopter tour of the private Tenuta Prima Pietra vineyard, the second vineyard owned by Massimo Ferragamo in Tuscany. The journey continues in Beijing, where guests will receive a signed copy of a specially commissioned artwork by the acclaimed Chinese artist creator, that celebrates the new Year of the Rat Zodiac wine vintage (2020), as well as a coveted collector’s edition of six previous vintages and the current vintage, all of which come in magnum bottles. Mr. Massimo Ferragamo, founder of Castiglion del Bosco, will host the guests a private dinner gala to celebrate the launch of this prized new wine. Guests can also immerse in a two-hour rejuvenating treatment at Sense Spa for two persons. Three nights’ accommodations at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco and two nights’ accommodations at Rosewood Beijing’s Beijing House starting at CNY700,000 and is available for purchase during the 2018 holiday season, to be redeemed in 2019.

About Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco

Framed by the rolling hills of UNESCO World Heritage Site Val d’Orcia, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is an immersion into the Tuscan way of life. Located in a 12th-century borgo, lovingly restored by the Ferragamo family, this is an escape that welcomes guests home. The estate is dotted with 53 suites and villas; once medieval farmhouses, now intimate retreats curated with carefully sourced antiques and handpicked pieces from across Italy. With a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, traditional trattoria and historic winery, farm-to-table fare becomes a daily ritual here. A stay is both exploration and restoration: strolls down tree-lined trails and through ancient ruins, rounds of golf at a private course, rejuvenating swims and botanical treatments at the spa.
