Rosewood Hong Kong collaborated with NBA Legend Damian Lillard

Rosewood Hong Kong is proud to partner with New Home Association, a charitable organisation dedicated to the welfare of new arrivals and ethnic minorities, in support of “KICKS CREW x Damian Lillard Hong Kong Tour 2023”, a youth basketball upskilling programme designed to promote and inspire young athletes to pursue their passion and dreams, as part of the Rosewood Empowers commitment to provide equal access to opportunity.

Dedicated to giving back to the community and promoting positive impact, Rosewood Hong Kong collaborated with New Home Association to invite five young talents to participate in an invaluable upskilling workshop hosted by local start-up KICKS CREW. The young talents were offered an opportunity of a lifetime to meet with and receive professional coaching tips from visiting 7-time NBA all-star player Damian Lillard.

About Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard was selected by Portland with the sixth overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft. He became only one of five players in NBA history to be voted as the NBA Rookie of the Year unanimously when he won the award in 2013. Lillard is a seven-time NBA All-Star, and was selected to All-NBA Team on seven occasions, he is also the highest scoring player in Blazers’ history. In October 2021, Lillard was honored as one of the league's greatest players of all time by being named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. He also won a gold medal on the 2020 US Olympic team in Tokyo. In 2018-19 season, Lillard was the winner of the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award, an award given to a player, coach, or staff member who showed "outstanding service and dedication to the community", whilst in 2020-21 season, he won the Twyman–Stokes Teammate of the Year Award. In recognition of his outstanding community engagement, philanthropic activity, and charity work, Lillard is also a three-time NBA Community Assist Award winner.
