Rosewood Hotel Georgia Named 2017 Andrew Harper Grand Award Winner

Rosewood Hotel Georgia has been named one of the world’s top hotels in Andrew Harper’s annual Grand Awards, the prestigious list that showcases the best properties and travel experiences from the past 12 months.

Released 10 January 2017

“We are honored to be one of the six properties in North America distinguished with a 2017 Andrew Harper Grand Award,” “The Andrew Harper Grand Awards are a hallmark of excellence within the travel industry and we are thrilled to see the unparalleled service, sophisticated style and rich history of Rosewood Hotel Georgia recognized with such a prestigious accolade.”

Philip Meyer, managing director of Rosewood Hotel Georgia

Combining the grandeur of the Roaring Twenties with contemporary design and comfort, Rosewood Hotel Georgia first opened in 1927 and re-opened in 2011 following a complete restoration. Today, the legendary boutique hotel features 156 guest accommodations, Sense, A Rosewood Spa ® and four distinct dining venues. In 2017, the landmark property celebrates its 90 th anniversary, coinciding with Canada’s 150 th anniversary. Recently named one of the top destinations in The New York Times’ prestigious annual “52 Places to Go” list, Canada will provide free access to its 200 national parks and historic sites during this commemorative year, allowing travellers to take advantage of the country’s rich natural beauty found in Stanley Park and Gulf Islands National Park Reserve just outside Vancouver.

“It takes more than a luxurious room and a lavish bath to make a great hotel,” “Of course, a charming staff, a fine restaurant and an exceptional location are usually part of the package. But just as a beautiful face is more than a collection of perfect features, the world’s finest hotels possess an elusive character that is mysteriously more than the sum of its parts.”
