Rosewood London Announces Partnership with Matthew Curtis
This October, Matthew Curtis is taking up residence at Sense spa at Rosewood London, offering an intimate treatment atmosphere for those seeking a private ambience with personalised attention.
Previously only based outside of London – with his award-winning flagship in Stratford-Upon-Avon and at the award-nominated hair retreat of Hoarcross Hall - Matthew Curtis at Rosewood London is a refreshingly down to earth salon that prides itself on an incredibly friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Matthew’s love of creating new wearable looks for his fashion and salon clients is reflected in this new salon concept, unifying hair with a luxurious hotel experience.
Drawing inspiration from the Orient Express and the decadence of high living, Matthew Curtis at Rosewood London houses a blow dry bar along with four individual styling stations that contribute to providing a premium hair service. The salon will offer Curtis’ expert stylists and professional colourists skilled in all aspects of hairdressing; from cutting and colouring to waving, straightening and blow-drying. Each treatment will start with a thorough consultation, ensuring clients are confident that they will leave looking their best and feeling transformed.
For an even more discreet experience, Matthew Curtis at Rosewood London will also provide an in-room appointment service to the hotel’s guests in residence. His in-room styling experience comes complete with a vintage leather trunk with all the modern elements of a hair salon incorporated into a portable styling station, so hotel guests can request personal hair appointments without leaving their room.
In addition to his superlative creative hair styling, the blow-dry bar is perfect for guests wanting an instant hair transformation in a short amount of time, leaving hair feeling soft, smooth and full of volume.
Michael Bonsor, Rosewood London hotel manager comments: “Matthew Curtis is undoubtedly one of the industry’s most exciting and sought after hair stylists. He has created looks for some of the most iconic and influential designers out there, and his vision to offer a bespoke service, influenced by runway trends, is the ethos of the Matthew Curtis salon at Rosewood London. His first London salon will offer a personalised service to Rosewood London guests in the comfort of their room, as well as, welcoming London clients to the new boutique salon.”
Matthew Curtis comments: “The new boutique hair salon Rosewood London is about unifying hair with the spa experience. From our standout salon design, experienced stylists with a wealth of catwalk, editorial and technical abilities to the unique in-room styling experience concept, clients will receive the ultimate hair treatment when they visit us. This is truly a luxurious salon partnership for both brands involved.”
Rosewood London is a timeless heritage hotel, set just steps from Covent Garden and is seen as a little oasis of tranquillity unique among London luxury hotels.
