Rosewood London, Official Partner of Frieze London 2024, Unveils Exclusive Art Activations in Celebration of Art Fair
Rosewood London, official partner of Frieze London 2024, is delighted to announce a series of art activations in celebration of the prestigious art fair throughout October.
Demonstrating the hotel’s commitment to blending luxury with creativity, the series welcomes multidisciplinary artists, John Booth and Karimah Hassan, to exhibit a bespoke commission in Rosewood London’s courtyard and an exclusive exhibition across the property’s iconic marble staircase and lobby respectively throughout the month of October. Ahead of the festive season, a limited edition upcycled tableware collection by John Booth, a collection which seeks to bridge sustainability and luxury, will be launched and available to purchase.
Additionally, guests can book the Frieze experience and discover the show in style, complete with chauffeur service to the art fair, VIP access and a bottle of champagne in room on arrival.
Art Afternoon Tea, The John Booth Collection & Courtyard Takeover
Earlier this year, London-based, multidisciplinary artist, John Booth, best known for his work with Selfridges, Paul Smith and Fendi, collaborated with Rosewood London’s critically acclaimed Executive Pastry Chef Mark Perkins to reimagine the Mirror Room’s ‘Art Afternoon Tea’ series. From 4th - 30th October, Rosewood London will display a bespoke art installation by John Booth in the heart of the property’s celebrated courtyard. Guests are invited to further immerse themselves in John Booth’s colourful world as the ‘Art Afternoon Tea’ continues to run alongside the immersive courtyard exhibition.
Art Afternoon Tea, The John Booth Collection is available from Mondays to Sundays 12.00p.m. to 5.45p.m. and is priced at £75 per person.
Mirror Room Upcycled Tableware Collection by John Booth
Looking ahead to the festive season, Rosewood London are gearing up to launch a limited-edition upcycled tableware collection at the Mirror Room, which will see John Booth reimagine Rosewood London’s premium tableware. The collection will not only blend circularity and luxury but will also allow guests to take a part of their Art Afternoon Tea experience home with them.
The Mirror Room Upcycled Tableware collection by John Booth will be available to purchase from November.
Karimah Hassan Exhibition at Rosewood London
London-based multidisciplinary artist Karimah Hassan will undertake a month-long residency at Rosewood London from October 9th to November 8th, 2024, coinciding with Frieze. Known for her work exploring community-driven storytelling and cultural diversity, Hassan’s perspective is shaped by her Welsh, Yemeni, and Bangladeshi heritage. A former resident of the Sarabande Foundation, Hassan has rapidly gained international recognition, collaborating with prestigious institutions and brands, including The Barbican, Ferragamo, Burberry, Arts Council England, Selfridges, and The High Line New York.
Rosewood London is excited to present ‘Four Generations.’ This solo showcase, Hassan's largest to date, will transform the hotel's iconic marble staircase and lobby with an 7-piece series of vibrant acrylic paintings. The artworks celebrate Hassan's diverse heritage through dreamlike imagery inspired by family stories spanning across generations. With bold colours and joyful motifs, Hassan aims to infuse her cultural history with a sense of rebellious joy. As a special touch, Rosewood London guests will receive bespoke watercolour postcards and bookmarks featuring Hassan’s exclusive artwork and poetry. Four Generations offers visitors a captivating journey through Hassan's artistic world, breathing new life into Rosewood London's spaces.
Artistic London Getaway Room Package
For those wishing to attend the prestigious art fair, Rosewood London has launched their Artistic London Getaway package. This exclusive room package encourages guests to embark on an art-centric escape, offering a memorable stay and two VIP tickets to Frieze London, complete with chauffeur service to the exhibition space. Guests can unwind in luxury during an overnight suite stay with a bottle of champagne on arrival, waking up to a delectable breakfast for two to prepare them for a day filled with captivating installations, latest masterpieces and emerging talents at Frieze London.
