Rosewood London partners with Garrard for the 2023 festive season as part of its ten-year anniversary celebrations

Garrard has evolved with the times to become one of the most admired contemporary jewellers in the UK. The renowned British brand which has been “coronating, commemorating and celebrating since 1735”, will mark 20 years of their iconic Wings collection by presenting a new look for Rosewood London’s Christmas tree, lobby and Mirror Room that represents Garrard today, with, sparkling hotel decor and a dedicated Art Afternoon Tea, especially for the Christmas season.

Inspired by Wings Rising, the London jeweller’s newest fine jewellery collection, hotel decorations will celebrate a motif that has been a Garrard icon ever since its launch. Symbolic of strength, independence and freedom, the powerful, uplifting Wings Rising jewels trace an abstract, winged silhouette that translates beautifully into contemporary Christmas baubles.

Garrard’s festive decorations at Rosewood London will be unveiled on the 14th November with the arrival of the winged Christmas tree. Taking centre stage in the iconic courtyard, Garrard’s Wings baubles will adorn the 24ft Christmas tree and set the tone for the entire hotel’s decorations with a concoction of gold, midnight blue and touches of green. Ruinart, the oldest established Champagne house, is designing the perfect viewing spot for the tree, transforming the courtyard’s terrace into a warm and cosy dining space harmoniously decorated with touches of gold for guests to enjoy Ruinart Champagne alongside festive bites with their loved ones.

In a grand display, Garrard wings will be featured in the lobby accompanied by festive florals from McQueens, Rosewood London's long-standing florist, offering guests a unique photo opportunity unlike any other this festive season.

Garrard art afternoon tea

Celebrating the hotel’s partnership with Garrard, Rosewood London’s much-loved Art Afternoon Tea is transformed into a jewel box of delicious treats, with a festive menu of delicately crafted desserts, decorated with baubles and wings. The selection of sandwiches includes roast Norfolk turkey, cranberry sauce, sage and onion bread and Clarence Court duck egg mayonnaise, winter truffle in a brioche bun and other festive flavours, alongside traditional scones.

A Garrard Christmas brings together a citrus cheesecake made with a citrus almond sponge, raspberry jelly, lime cheesecake, green glazed, gold yuzu chocolate garnish, set on a sable biscuit. Wing Rising is a wing-shaped black forest dessert, with a chocolate madeleine sponge, cherry ganache, cherry jelly, vanilla mascarpone mousse, gold glazed and gold tuile biscuit. The Midnight Sapphire is a spiced apple cake depicting a Christmas bauble, with spiced apple gel, caramel financier, and vanilla cream topped with a midnight blue glaze, and a yuzu chocolate ribbon.

The Art Afternoon Tea will be available in Rosewood London’s Mirror Room from Wednesday 15th November, bookable Monday to Sunday from 12.00 p.m. to 5.45 p.m., priced from £85 per person. Guests can also enjoy the experience with a glass of R de Ruinart, or Wild Idol 0% for £95, with a cocktail for £92 or with a glass of Ruinart Rosé for £100.

Festive stays and experiences

Rosewood London welcomes guests to stay and celebrate throughout the festive period with theFestive Escape package, guests will stay in a cosy suite and will be welcomed with a chilled bottle of Champagne to begin the joyful celebrations. Included in the stay will be a traditional Full English breakfast for two, £100 hotel credit to spend during their stay for dining, and spa experiences to guarantee a merry stay.

For those looking to pamper themselves for Christmas, the Gift of Wellness offers self-care rituals at Sense, A Rosewood Spa, with a 2.5-hour spa experience. This will include a choice of various 90-minute treatments followed by any rejuvenating 60-minute facial, as well as an additional £120 credit for guests to indulge in their exquisite range of retail products, such as skincare essentials to extend the pampering journey at home. Other retail offers available at the hotel include Rosewood London’s hand-painted Christmas Bauble, a bespoke glass ornament crafted through a 200-year-old traditional technique of 'inside painting'. Each bauble is intricately hand-painted, showcasing a depiction of the hotel’s iconic façade. Timeless and extraordinarily beautiful, this bauble will become a festive favourite for years to come. This pâté en croûte, made by the accomplished team at The Pie Room, is the ultimate centrepiece for the festive season. Offering two distinct fillings, the timeless classic of pork pâté en croûte (price: £95) and the delightful combination of duck and fig pâté en croûte (price: £125), each serving 6-8 guests – an ideal choice for making a lasting impression on your Christmas party host. A pâte en croûte will also be available at Holborn Dining Room and served by the slice ( price: £19) from 15th November.
