Rosewood London presents: La Veranda by Patrón

This summer, Rosewood London is bringing a taste of Mexico to its iconic courtyard in collaboration with Patrón tequila. Bringing a slice of Mexican luxury to the capital, La Veranda will offer the perfect suntrap to spend long summer days sipping Simply Perfect Patrón cocktails – including the famed Patrón Paloma – surrounded by serene water features, colourful ceramics and plentiful agave.

From Thursday 16 th June, the hotel’s Edwardian courtyard will transport guests from the heart of the city to a Tulum-inspired hideaway. With al fresco drinking and dining throughout the day, from brunch through to dinner, diners will enjoy a taste of Mexico, featuring tableside guacamole, decadent quesadillas, handmade tacos and more. The terrace becomes home to Latin-infused live music embodying the vibrancy of Mexico.

The immersive summer long pop-up will be brought to life through a kaleidoscope of colours, textures, pallets and tones of La Veranda. Bringing a taste of Mexico to London, the design boasts a striking entrance via a grand archway, flanked by large terracotta pots filled with an abundance of native Mexican plants. The terrace itself will be surrounded by luscious greenery and elegant archways, reminiscent of Mexican architecture, with tranquil sounds from the waterfalls. Once inside, the terrace continues to echo the feeling of Mexico with large Aztec rugs, rattan furniture and a variety of agave family plants and green foliage.

The all-day dining menu starts with nibbles including two types of guacamole, perfect to pair with a refreshing Patrón Paloma: herbed guacamole with pomegranate and pine nuts and a g reen tomato, ginger and chilli, both complete with corn tortillas for dipping. There will also be a dedicated taco menu as well as larger plates that are perfect for sharing and an indulgent dessert menu. The sweet and savoury dishes will range from yellow tail tuna with red onion, mango and Habanero chilli tacos to 8-hour braised pork shoulder quesadillas with Pico de Gallo, jalapenos, red onion and Salsa Verde and a Mexican caramel flan with a caramel crisp.

Created in partnership with Patrón tequila, a refreshingly perfect drinks menu is split into two categories: Signature Cocktails and Los Clásicos. The signature serves, offer a range of quirky and delicious cocktails including:

● Pink Chihuahua - Patrón Reposado, Bitter Liquer, Passion Fruit, Clarified Hibiscus, Champagne

● Oaxaca colada (slush) - patrón añejo, horchata, oloroso

● El Diablo - Patrón Silver, Non-alcoholic Vermouth Aperitif, Guanabana & Piña, Menta Poleo

While Los Clásicos, includes old favourites such as:

● Paloma - Patrón Reposado, Lime, Agave, London Essence Grapefruit Soda

● margarita - patrón silver, combier, lime

● spicy margarita - patrón silver, ancho reyes, lime

● tommy’s - patrón reposado, agave, lime, gusano salt

Rosewood London will be partnering with artisan clothing brand Tea and Tequila, a British brand with a Mexican soul, who will dress the team at Rosewood London in an array of colourful outfits.
