Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek®, the Texas icon and inaugural property of the ultra-luxury Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® collection, today unveils The Mansion Boot, a custom cowboy boot created in partnership with Dallas-based bespoke cowboy boot company Miron Crosby. Fashioned specifically for the property and inspired by its distinct history and heritage, the boot showcases the style and sophistication of the destination while simultaneously highlighting the two brands’ shared appreciation of artisanry, hand-craftsmanship and the local Dallas community.

Based in neighboring Highland Park Village, Miron Crosby was launched in 2017 by sisters Lizzie Means Duplantis and Sarah Means with a mission of creating beautifully designed, custom cowboy boots for every occasion. Fusing authentic Texas elements and aesthetic with the highest quality materials and a contemporary sense of style, each pair of hand-crafted boots serves as a showpiece as much as a set of footwear. With customized options and styles for men, women and children, all offering “ranch to runway” versatility, the boots are ideal for special events or everyday wear alike.

To create the Mansion Boot, Lizzie and Sarah contemplated the property’s original owners’ affinity for Europe, considering the 16th century Italian, French, English and Spanish touches that form the Mansion’s foundation. Drawing inspiration from the property’s distinctive physical elements including the cathedral doors, carved fireplace mantles, intricate paneling, cantilevered staircase and stained-glass windows, all anchored by the iconic quatrefoil motifs found around the buildings and grounds, the sisters embarked on a lengthy process to finalize the boot’s design and build, ultimately settling on two unique styles to accommodate the preferences of both male and female clientele.

Exuding a chic yet playful aesthetic, the women’s boot boasts a cascade of the quatrefoil emblems dressed in shades of terracotta and rust – reminiscent of the Mansion’s façade – and inlayed in crème kidskin, complemented by a vamp and collar made of luxe cognac Nile belly crocodile. Ear pulls replicating the quatrefoils found on the plaster ceiling of the original Mansion’s iconic library complete the design. For the men’s boot Nile belly crocodile again composes the vamp, which is set against tonal cognac shaft uppers featuring classic western crème colored stitching and ear pulls decorated with the signature quatrefoil shape. Comprehensive crème piping, which is indicative of custom-made boots, contributes an added layer of contrast.

At the Rios of Mercedes factory in South Texas, artisans with decades of experience hand make every pair of boots. Staring at USD $3,425, the Mansion Boot takes up to six months to hand craft.
