Rosewood Mayakoba named "Best of The Best" at the 2017 Travel + Leisure Mexico Hotel Awards
Riviera Maya, Mexico – This month, Travel + Leisure México announced the winners of its annual Hotel Awards 2017, recognizing the industry’s best hotels in the country and those that offer outstanding guest experiences. For the second consecutive year, Rosewood Mayakoba received the "Best of the Best" award, reaffirming its leadership among luxury hotels in Mexico.
A jury comprised of 15 expert travel advisers set out to experience and thoroughly evaluate Mexico's top 50 hotels in 21 categories over a three-month period. After assessing attributes such as guestrooms, spa, wellness, gastronomy, food & beverage, and design, among others, judges then nominated hotels in a variety of diverse categories before selecting the winner of each.
Rosewood Mayakoba, was nominated in nine categories, including: Room Experience, Spa, Tropical Getaway, Family Getaway, Pet Friendly, Welcoming Experience, Gourmet Experience, Best Villa and Best of the Best, winning the most coveted award that names the resort as the best hotel in Mexico. The winners of the 2017 Hotel Awards were revealed on June 2 in the presence of hoteliers, city government officials and Time Inc.’s Grupo Expansión editorial team in a two-day celebration that acknowledged their effort and dedication to push high-level tourism in Mexico.
