Rosewood Miramar Beach Appoints Eliza Hoar as Director of Bars

MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA – Rosewood Miramar Beach, the Forbes Triple Five-Star coastal resort, is proud to announce the appointment of Eliza Hoar as Director of Bars. A dynamic and deeply passionate bar professional, Hoar will lead the cocktail programs across the resort’s seven renowned culinary outlets, including Michelin Star and Michelin Green Star awarded Caruso’s, the elegant AMA Sushi, and the celebrated Manor Bar, known for its innovative cocktail program and library-like setting. Hoar will also oversee cocktail and spirit packages for meetings and events taking place at the resort.

Born and raised in New York City, Hoar’s hospitality journey began in Bar Harbor, Maine. Her curiosity and drive has since taken her across the country—from New York to Aspen, San Diego to Boston—each stop shaping her distinctive approach to hospitality and craft cocktails. Most recently, Hoar served as Bar Principal at Equal Measure in Boston, where under the mentorship of industry icon Jackson Cannon, she helped lead the bar to national acclaim, including a 2024 James Beard Foundation Awards semifinalist nod, a spot on Esquire’s Top Bars list, a Top 10 placement in the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards and was listed as one of the top 100 bars in the nation by North America’s 50Best Bars. In San Diego, she played a pivotal role at the award-winning Youngblood, a North America’s 50 Best Bars honoree. Hoar’s professional accolades include Top 10 U.S. placement in the Nikka Perfect Serve 2024 competition and a top 24 global finish in the Stoli Grand Masters 2023.

At Rosewood Miramar Beach, she aims to build on that ethos by amplifying creativity, visibility, and community at The Manor Bar, which was recently named a regional honoree in the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards 2025 and just launched its most ambitious volume of its literary cocktail series to date, focusing on literary lands in partnership with mixology design leader 3D Vault. Augmenting The Manor Bar’s sophisticated offerings and welcoming atmosphere through curated events and programming, Hoar looks to lead her team with a guest-centered perspective and mentorship style, placing a strong emphasis on team culture and personal connection.
