Rick Fidel, resort manager at Rosewood Miramar Beach
In accordance with guidelines put in place by local public health officials upon reopening to all travelers, Rosewood Miramar Beach is currently operating at a reduced capacity with the available selection of accommodations strategically spread out across the property’s vast, outdoor acreage. The resort’s six restaurants and bars and the recently introduced Miramar Food Truck are open for dine-in service for resort guests and the local community, with in-room dining also available for overnight visitors only. Additional culinary experiences have been introduced to provide even more opportunity to relish in the resort’s distinguished food and beverage program, including carefully curated picnic baskets delivered to the location of the guests’ choosing, as well as a new outdoor dining venue. Home to a single, secluded table surrounded by freshly planted herbs, vegetables and greenery, Massimo’s Garden, named after the resort’s executive chef, is ideal for private meals and intimate gatherings among close friends and family.
Known for its vast array of activities and amenities, Rosewood Miramar Beach’s two pools are open to overnight guests only, operating at a reduced occupancy with dedicated attendants in place to monitor for sufficient physical distancing. The property’s bocce and shuffleboard courts are also accessible, as is the beachfront for umbrella and chair service. The fitness center is open for guests, with group fitness classes still suspended, and Sense, A Rosewood Spa will remain closed for the time being. The resort’s distinguished retail offerings, previously inclusive of The Gatehouse and goop Sundries Shop, have not only reopened, but expanded to include the all new Shop at Miramar, which offers an inspired selection of exclusive men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, accessories, beauty products and home goods.
Further bolstering the resort as a top destination for summer travel and beyond, five distinct room package promotions, each of which was developed with today’s travel landscape in mind, provide added value and unique experiences with each stay. Designed to delight young guests out of school for the season, the Family Time initiative has been reimagined for Summer 2020 to further facilitate indelible family bonding through kid-friendly welcome amenities and a bespoke gardening experience with Chef Massimo, as well as a complimentary third night stay and a $100 resort credit per night. In recognition that many travelers may be working during their stays, Rosewood Remote Office transforms suite living spaces into a complete, customized home office, inclusive of a monitor, printer and other essential office supplies. Intended to offer residents of Rosewood Miramar Beach’s main drive-markets a sweet and satisfying mini-escape, Summer at Rosewood includes daily breakfast, overnight valet parking, late check-out and a $100 resort credit per night, while Suite Sojourn provides guests booking accommodations in the higher room categories with a resort credit of up to $1,000. Lastly, More Miramar invites guests to enjoy the extraordinary Miramar experience for a little longer with a complimentary third night stay and $100 resort credit per night.
Launching in tandem with the reopening, several enhanced health and safety protocols have been introduced as part of new brand-wide programs from both Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and Caruso, the resort’s ownership group. Both featuring stringent health and sanitation practices, Rosewood’s Commitment to Care and Caruso’s Health & Safety Standards ensure a safe, clean and controlled environment and provide guests, associates and the community at large with much-needed peace of mind. Under the new programs, all associates are provided with personal protective equipment (PPE) that they are required to wear at all times, and guests will also receive a care kit upon arrival stocked with face masks, hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes to use at their discretion. Thermal cameras have been installed to check the temperatures of all guests and associates at their respective entry points, as well as electrostatic sprayers to regularly sanitize both front of house and back of house spaces. Additionally, UV machines have been installed within the heating, ventilation and cooling systems in the Manor House, the central hub of all activity at the resort and the location of several of the property’s food and beverage venues, to provide for an even further level of sanitization throughout the space.
Known for exceptional and accommodating service, the resort’s expert team is consulting with guests throughout their stays regarding the level of contact and attention they wish to receive while on property, from optional curbside outdoor check-in upon arrival, choice of self or valet parking,, to the frequency and extent of their housekeeping and contactless In-Room Dining delivery or pickup. All resort areas, both indoor and outdoor, require physical distancing, with signage positioned throughout the property to showcase the proper amount of space to maintain between individuals, as well as dedicated attendants within certain public areas to further ensure the requirements are respected. The property’s restaurants and bars have been reorganized to provide for six feet of space between each table and party, and they are also leveraging QR code technology to allow guests to browse from the available menu items and place their orders directly from their personal devices.
