Rosewood Phnom Penh Chief Concierge, Daneth Lin, receives prestigious Les Clefs d'Or 'Golden Keys' distinction

Born in 1997 in Kandal, the lush province surrounding the capital, Daneth has always been passionate about travel and hospitality. She especially loves to show visitors the unique places, cultural traditions and experiences that make her city special. Daneth’s achievement grants her access to a distinguished network of concierges and speaks to her inspired service, expertise and ability to open doors in Phnom Penh and beyond.

Daneth began her career in hospitality 2014, then joined Rosewood Phnom Penh in 2017 as a Concierge Assistant. She steadily moved up the ranks, receiving numerous top marks from guests on platforms such as TripAdvisor. In 2018, she further set herself apart by receiving a perfect score from Leading Quality Assurance, a hospitality association that sets standards for guest experiences and certifies service providers at the world’s leading luxury properties.

In 2020, she became the Assistant Chief Concierge before being appointed as the hotel’s Chief Concierge in October 2021. In her current role, Daneth leads a team that has continually raised the benchmark for excellence and cemented Rosewood’s reputation for inspiring guest experiences that champion Rosewood’s Sense of Place® philosophy. All the while, she has volunteered as a mentor at Toutes à L’ecole, a non-profit organisation that provides free, high-quality education to underprivileged Cambodian girls.

“I set out to become the first Cambodian female member of Les Clefs d’Or as I wish to empower other female concierges to dream bigger and always strive to do more with their work,” adds Daneth. “I also hope to be an example for all young Cambodians and encourage them to reach new heights in their careers.”

When it comes to helping guests make the most of their visit to Phnom Penh, Daneth says she takes a flexible and personalized approach, tailoring her recommendations based on each guest’s interest, style, schedule and needs. “For history enthusiasts, I recommend one of our immersive experiences, such as A Treasure Hunt, where guests uncover urban tales via clues, or perhaps a Khmer Architecture Tour, which highlights the city’s landmark buildings and their distinctive aesthetics,” says Daneth.

In addition to heritage excursions, Daneth has helped design many artistic, culinary and cultural journeys that immerse guests in the city’s vibrant identity. “Our Street Art Tour, led by young and upcoming Cambodian street artists, is really fascinating because it shows the city’s modern and creative side,” she says. “Meanwhile, epicureans can indulge in exceptional Cambodian cuisine at Brasserie Louis, where pioneering Chef Nak has designed a menu inspired by royal Khmer cuisine.”

To see Wat Phnom, Phnom Penh’s most famous temple at its best, Daneth recommends a Morning Ritual, which is complimentary for hotel guests. “As the oldest temple in the capital, Wat Phnom is one of the centers of cultural and spiritual life. We love to take guests there early in the morning to receive a monk’s blessing and soak up the serene atmosphere,” says Daneth.
