Rosewood São Paulo Introduces New SPA Manager And Executive Assistant Manager Of Food & Beverage
Rosewood São Paulo, a metropolitan oasis mirroring the energy and heritage of Brazil, is pleased to announce two key appointments to their world-class team of associates — Spa Manager, Ana Flores and Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage, Romain Avril. The introduction of a Spa Manager comes at an especially exciting juncture for the property, as Rosewood São Paulo prepares to debut Asaya Spa in January 2024. The first South American outpost of Rosewood’s integrative wellness concept, this opening will elevate the level of wellbeing offerings currently available in Brazil, and under Ana’s guidance, Asaya Spa will provide visitors and guests alike with a transformative journey rooted in well-being. With the hotel already established as a thriving culinary hub, Romain will bring his extensive knowledge in the food and beverage space to continue this momentum and further the hotel’s reputation as a dining hot spot.
With over 20 years of experience in the luxury and wellness space, Ana Flores’ career has taken her across the world, assisting with the opening, restructuring, and operations of numerous hotel spas across South America, Western Europe, and Mexico. Most recently, Ana served as Spa Manager of Palácio Tangará in São Paulo and consulted on the opening of MSA Spa in Rio de Janeiro. Ana has held positions at numerous other noteworthy properties including the Grand Hyatt São Paulo, Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, Park Hyatt Mendoza, Hyatt Regency Curaçao, and more. Ana will play a crucial role in overseeing the launch of Asaya Spa at Rosewood São Paulo, including the development of the spa’s overall concept and menu, the recruitment and training of all spa staff, and the creation of distinctive wellness programming rooted in the destination. The goal is to create a first-of-its-kind city retreat that delivers a range of creative solutions for personal transformation, with offerings that are truly representative of Brazil’s vibrant culture and South American traditions.
Romain joins the Rosewood São Paulo team with over 15 years of experience in the food and beverage sector. In addition to spending two years in Rio de Janeiro, his skillsets have taken him to several top culinary destinations such as Dubai, Lebanon, and Morocco, with his most recent role at Le Royal Monceau, a Raffles hotel in Paris where he served as the Director of Food and Beverage. As part of his new role at Rosewood São Paulo, Romain will work to support and oversee the property’s brilliant team that offers guests the very best South American flavors and finest ingredients across all food and beverage outlets.
The hotel’s gastronomic experiences include three signature restaurants: Le Jardin, offering modern cuisine all day; Blaise, a more casual space serving a delicious mix of French cuisine influenced by elements of Brazilian gastronomy, and Taraz, with a South American share-style menu curated by acclaimed Chef Felipe Bronze. Rosewood São Paulo’s curated beverage program is showcased across Rabo di Galo, an intimate jazz bar featuring bespoke libations and classic Brazilian bar snacks, Emerald Garden Pool & Bar offering light bites and cocktails, and Belavista Rooftop Pool & Bar, an exclusive adults-only space that encapsulates the spirit of Brazil with panoramic views of the city.
“We are truly grateful to welcome both Ana Flores and Romain Avril to our team as our we continue to evolve our exceptional hospitality experiences found only at Rosewood São Paulo,” said Edouard Grosmangin, Managing Director of Rosewood São Paulo. Both wellness and culinary continue to be important pillars for our property, and we look forward to the contributions and enhancements that Ana and Romain will bring to their respective concepts.”
