Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, Tuscany, to host exclusive new amateur tournament with world-class prizes
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco and The Club at Castiglion del Bosco, Tuscany, will host an exclusive new tournament for amateurs and international club players, October 3-5, 2025, offering participants the opportunity to experience Europe’s finest five-star hotel, wine and golf estate.
Participants in the inaugural Rosewood CdB Golf Cup will enjoy a two-night stay for two in a luxurious Suite at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, along with two days of competitive play at The Club at Castiglion del Bosco, Italy’s only private golf course, reserved exclusively for club members and resident hotel guests.
The experience concludes with an elegant four-course prizegiving dinner, expertly paired with wines from the estate’s vineyards, including the prestigious Brunello di Montalcino, set against the rolling landscapes of the UNESCO-listed Val d’Orcia.
In collaboration with Rosewood’s prestigious partner properties, the tournament will award top players with prizes including a luxury stay and golf experience at Rosewood Kauri Cliffs and Rosewood Cape Kidnappers, New Zealand.
David Waters, General Manager & Director of Golf at The Club at Castiglion del Bosco, commented: “The Rosewood CdB Golf Cup marks a significant new chapter for Castiglion del Bosco, uniting our estate’s three defining pillars - championship golf, fine wine, and exceptional hospitality - into one exclusive tournament experience.
“Our golf course is one of the finest private courses in Europe and the only Continental European design of the late Tom Weiskopf. This tournament is an invitation to discerning international golfers to come and experience the full essence of what makes Castiglion del Bosco so special.”
The 5-star resort, as rated by the 2025 Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco features 42 luxury suites housed in a restored medieval village, as well as 11 private villas set in former 17th- and 18th-century farmhouses. The estate also includes a two-Michelin-star restaurant, a cooking school with organic kitchen garden, and a tranquil spa.
Nicola Migheli, Managing Director of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, added: “The Rosewood CdB Golf Cup represents a significant moment for us as we continue to evolve our resort offering. Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is one of the few luxury properties in Europe to combine five-star hospitality with a private championship golf course, which is a compelling proposition for discerning golfers seeking exclusivity and refined living in one luxury destination.
This new tournament allows us to fully showcase that experience, while also reinforcing our alignment with the global Rosewood golf portfolio. Through close collaboration with our partner properties, Rosewood Kauri Cliffs and Rosewood Cape Kidnappers, we are building a strong international presence for the brand across the world’s leading golf destinations.”
