Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi, the leading boutique hotel in Santa Fe, has launched a brand new Epicurean Adventure to the famed Santa Fe Farmers Market, where guests will become immersed in the culinary landscape of New Mexico. Created by Executive Chef Edgar Beas of the Anasazi Restaurant, whose culinary philosophy is deeply rooted in the native culture and traditions, the experience invites guests on a gastronomic journey through Santa Fe to gain insight on the area’s farmers and food purveyors. In accordance with Rosewood’s Sense of Place philosophy, the new experience will allow guests to learn about the city’s culinary traditions and create authentic connections with the locale.
Guests will take an historic pedicab to the Santa Fe Farmers Market, where they will be greeted by Chef Edgar Beas and Nina Yozell-Epstein, founder and chief executive officer of Squash Blossom Local Food, a produce distribution network that provides the Anasazi Restaurant with local ingredients from over 25 farms throughout New Mexico. Chef Edgar and Nina will lead guests through an engaging and informative tour through the market to meet local farmers and discover the region’s freshest produce. After exploring the market, guests will return to the Anasazi Restaurant, where they will indulge in a gourmet, farm-to-table luncheon prepared by Chef Edgar using the seasonal ingredients gathered earlier at the market.
“I am always heavily inspired by Santa Fe’s culinary traditions and strive to incorporate regional produce into our menus,” said Executive Chef Edgar Beas. “Since joining the Anasazi Restaurant in 2016, I have been working with the community and expanding our partnerships with local farms. I am incredibly proud of the deep connections we have formed with our farm partners over the years, and I hope this experience will further showcase Santa Fe’s bustling farm community and rich food history.”
The farmers market experience requires a minimum of two guests and a maximum of six guests per party. The excursion lasts approximately three hours and is priced at $250 per person, which includes all transportation, market produce and a custom meal prepared by Chef Edgar. Located in downtown Santa Fe, steps from the historic Santa Fe Plaza, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi® is an intimate world-class vacation retreat and New Mexico’s most lauded hotel. Since it was established in 1991, the Inn has set the standard for luxury and service among small city hotels. The world-renowned Anasazi Restaurant, Bar and Lounge was reimagined in 2015 to boast a chic, new design as well as the addition of a new lounge area and a dedicated tequila table. To complement the stunning new look, the restaurant’s menus epitomize modern Southwestern cuisine, featuring the strong ingredients and flavors of the Southwest. Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi has been honored four times with the prestigious AAA Four-Diamond Award, the highest accolade presented by AAA to hotels and restaurants based on facilities, amenities and service.
