Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi, the premier boutique hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico, has named Peter O’Brien as its new executive chef. In his new role, O’Brien will lead all operations at The Anasazi Restaurant, Bar and Lounge and oversee menu development, culinary team management, budgeting and more at the hotel’s acclaimed signature restaurant.

“We are excited to welcome Chef O’Brien to Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi,” said Lutz Arnhold, managing director of Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi. “Chef O’Brien’s extensive experience with Southwestern cuisine and familiarity with the restaurant scene in New Mexico makes him a perfect candidate to lead The Anasazi Restaurant, and we look forward to seeing him bring the restaurant to greater heights.”

Chef O’Brien joins Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently serving as chef, owner and operator of High Mountain Cuisine, a consulting and catering company that provided culinary services to clients in New Mexico, Texas and Colorado. Prior to High Mountain Cuisine, Chef O’Brien served as vice president of operations at Tinsley Hospitality Group, where he oversaw all business operations for various K-BOB’s Steakhouse locations in New Mexico, and director of food and beverage at The Club at Las Campanas, where he led all culinary operations for the luxury membership club. Chef O’Brien is a classically trained chef and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York in 1991.

About Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi

Located in downtown Santa Fe, steps from the historic Santa Fe Plaza, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi® is an intimate world-class vacation retreat and New Mexico’s most lauded hotel. Since it was established in 1991, the Inn has set the standard for luxury and service among small city hotels. The 58-room boutique hotel unveiled a full guestroom reimagination in 2014 to embrace a more modern, sophisticated aesthetic, while still celebrating the enduring creative spirit of the region’s Native Americans. The guestroom design beautifully complements the Inn’s legendary décor and architecture, including works by local artisans, massive hand-carved doors, sculptured stairways and sandstone walls that whisper of prehistoric Pueblo living. The world-renowned Anasazi Restaurant, Bar and Lounge was reimagined in 2015 to boast a chic, new design as well as the addition of a new lounge area and a dedicated tequila table. To complement the stunning new look, the restaurant’s menus epitomize modern Southwestern cuisine, featuring the strong ingredients and flavors of the Southwest. Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi has been honored four times with the prestigious AAA Four-Diamond Award, the highest accolade presented by AAA to hotels and restaurants based on facilities, amenities and service. Among its other esteemed honors this year, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi placed onto Condé Nast Traveler’s prestigious Gold List, received several accolades from Travel + Leisure’s 2013 World’s Best list and was named one of the “Best Hotels in the U.S.” by U.S. News & World Report.
