Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi, Santa Fe’s leading boutique hotel, today announced partnerships with several leading companies and organizations to drive positive environmental changes throughout all facets of the hotel. The new eco-friendly practices reaffirm Rosewood Inn of theAnasazi’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.

Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi has partnered with Clean the World, a social enterprise that recycles discarded soaps and other bathroom amenities. It is estimated that the United States disposes 949 million bars of soap into landfills annually. Through this partnership, Rosewood Inn of theAnasazi’s leftover bathroom products will be sterilized, remanufactured and distributed to disadvantaged communities to promote public hygiene and sanitary living conditions.

In addition, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi will begin phasing out print newspapers at the hotel and instead offer guests access to PressReader, a digital subscription service that offers over 7,700 publications from 90 countries, such as The Washington Post, USA Today, Newsweek, Maxim and more. Through PressReader, guests at Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi will continue to enjoy a diverse catalog of content, ranging from news, fashion, sports and pop culture, on their personal devices while simultaneously reducing paper waste at the hotel.

“Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi intends to be at the forefront of the green movement in Santa Fe,” said Gabor L. Vida, managing director of Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi. “Hotels have the power tomake a significant difference through ecologically minded programs, and we hope to set an example for the industry by incorporating socially responsible business practices to drive meaningful and impactful changes in our community.

Earlier this year, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi was the only hotel in Santa Fe to participate in Earth Hour, a global event that mobilizes individuals, businesses and governments to turn off non- essential lights for one hour to spread awareness about the negative effects of climate change. The hotel has also eliminated disposable single-use plastic straws and partnered with The Reading Group to donate gently used books to low income families. Its latest commitments are a testament to Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi’s position as a pioneer of the sustainable tourism movement in Santa Fe and New Mexico.
