BARTHÉLEMY | 2026 – To mark its 40th anniversary, Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth unveils a collaboration with Cuban-American contemporary artist Daniel Dugan, transforming the resort into both muse and medium through an immersive residency exploring art, place, and legacy. Thoughtfully curated to reflect the island’s creative spirit while honoring the property’s heritage, the partnership unfolds across three phases, beginning with an on-site studio residency, followed by an art-driven fashion capsule collection, and culminating in an expansion of the resort’s children’s programming designed to inspire its youngest guests.

Known for his signature technique of creating art through one continuous, unbroken line, Dugan’s practice reflects a sense of movement and continuity that mirrors the resort’s four-decade evolution. During the first phase of the residency, he developed a multi-medium collection rooted in the island’s geography and natural elements. On the beach, guests witnessed the creation of a large-scale installation tracing St. Barth through a single continuous line, later photographed and released as a series of limited-edition prints. In parallel, Dugan worked from his on-property studio, where guests were invited to engage with him directly, experiencing his process firsthand over intimate conversations and champagne, offering a rare and personal connection to both the artist and his work.

ONSITE ARTIST STUDIO

At the heart of the residency, a dedicated on-property studio invites guests into Daniel Dugan’s creative world. Across select residency periods, guests are welcomed to connect with the artist as his work unfolds in real time, through intimate, champagne-led experiences, private talks, and curated gatherings that offer rare insight into his process and the story behind each piece. Residency periods scheduled for June 18 – 21, and early December.

A LIMITED-EDITION SWIMWEAR CAPSULE COLLECTION INSPIRED BY THE ARTWORK

Extending the collaboration beyond the installations themselves, the residency will also introduce a limited-edition swimwear and resort wear capsule collection inspired by Daniel Dugan’s linework which will debut in June. Designed exclusively for Rosewood Le Guanahani, the collection includes a bikini, men’s swim trunks, and crew necks for both men and women, all in Rosewood’s Discovery Green.

CREATIVE PROGRAMMING FOR YOUNGER TRAVELERS

As part of the residency, additional programming will extend to the resort’s Rosewood Explorers Club, where younger guests will be invited to participate in creative sessions with Dugan. Designed to encourage curiosity, self-expression, and a lasting appreciation for art, the experience invites children to create freely while drawing inspiration from the island’s natural surroundings. Children’s workshops will take place early December.
