Rosewood London's Literary Collaboration with Charles Pignal

JULY 2026

Rosewood London is proud to host a literary partnership with Charles Pignal, literary curator and founder of the acclaimed Lit With Charles podcast and Substack, celebrating the rich heritage of Holborn. In collaboration with Pignal, the hotel invites guests to engage with the world of British literature through a thoughtfully curated cultural experience.

This collaboration brings an additional cultural dimension to the guest experience, honouring the literary legacy of the neighbourhood while embracing the creativity of today’s most compelling voices.

At the heart of the partnership is a bespoke reading list of British authors - both celebrated names and emerging talents - selected by Pignal to reflect the spirit of the city and the character of Holborn. A dedicated library in the hotel’s elegant lobby encourages guests to pause, browse, and connect with the written word throughout their stay.

Guests will also discover a specially designed bookmark placed in their room, each one featuring a thought-provoking literary quote to inspire a moment of reflection.

The partnership continues through Author Mornings, a literary salon hosted at Rosewood London, where Charles Pignal is joined by acclaimed authors for intimate conversations exploring their work and the themes behind it, recorded live for the Lit with Charles podcast.

“We’re delighted to collaborate with Charles Pignal to create a guest experience that not only reflects the cultural richness of our surroundings but also encourages meaningful engagement. This partnership pays tribute to Holborn’s storied past while embracing the creativity and evolving narratives that continue to shape it. We believe it offers guests an authentic connection to the area’s distinctive character and cultural legacy”.
